there are three phases to a dental implant treatment?

  1. An implant is surgically placed in the jawbone under local anesthesia. Gingival healing process can take anywhere from 2-10 days depending on the individual.

  2. Next phase is osseointegration, a process where bone actually grows around the implant and holds it in place. This process can take 4-6 months depending on the implant position. During this process you are provided a temporary tooth mainly to serve as an aesthetic coverage.

  3. Finally your customize new implant crown based on size, shape, color and fit of your dentition will be designed to blend in with your other teeth. If you are replacing more than a single tooth, custom-made multiple crowns will be made to fit your mouth and your implants.
