What is BOTOX®

BOTOX® is a prescription medicine that is injected into muscles and used to temporarily improve the look of moderate to severe forehead lines, crow's feet lines, and frown lines between the eyebrows, chin and around lips in adults.

BOTOX® is also used as a treatment modality in TMD to temporarily inactivate jaw muscles and therefore reduce facial pain associated with it. In these instances Botox can also provide a cosmetic benefit of softening the appearance of face by reducing the muscle bulk associated with its over activity.
