Dr. Maryam Horri has spent more than two decades practicing cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry in Manhattan. Her work is shaped by a simple belief: the most successful cosmetic dentistry should make a person look their best, not different.
Her approach reflects both clinical discipline and a lifelong engagement with aesthetics. She looks beyond the teeth alone, considering how the smile relates to the lips, face, expression, age, personality, and overall presence of the individual.
For Dr. Horri, a beautiful smile is not a formula. It is a judgment — one that requires proportion, restraint, technical precision, and an understanding of the person as a whole.
Clinical Foundation
After graduating from Mills College, Dr. Horri completed pre-medical studies at Stanford University before earning her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
She began her career in a prosthodontic practice in Midtown Manhattan, where she developed a strong foundation in complex restorative dentistry, dental function, structure, and long-term oral health. That early training continues to inform her work today, namely that cosmetic dentistry should never be treated as surface decoration. Every aesthetic decision must also respect the health, stability, and function of the mouth.
Aesthetic Formation
Dr. Horri’s eye has also been shaped outside the dental profession.
Her training in Contemporary Art at Christie’s and Florence, Italy, her work founding a nonprofit devoted to contemporary art film and years spent engaging with art, architecture, museums, and visual culture have all informed the way she makes judgements.
This broader aesthetic background gives her a particular sensitivity to proportion, texture, light, character, and context — qualities that matter deeply in cosmetic dentistry, even when they cannot be fully measured.
Rockefeller Center Practice
Dr. Horri established her private practice in Rockefeller Center in 2000, where she continues to focus on cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry for patients seeking natural, refined, and confidence-enhancing results.
Her practice is intentionally personal. Patients work directly with Dr. Horri, and each treatment plan is considered individually, with attention to aesthetics, function, longevity, and overall oral health.
Whenever possible, she favors minimally invasive treatment that preserves healthy tooth structure while achieving maximum aesthetic enhancement.
Academic and Professional Background
In addition to private practice, Dr. Horri has served on the faculty at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine.
She is a member of the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association, and the New York County Dental Society.
